The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI), Securities Division, has received a complaint from a Washington resident regarding FX Prime Pro, a purported cryptocurrency trading platform. The investor accessed the FX Prime Pro platform at fxprimemax.com and fxprimeprodfs.com. The websites appear to have been taken down.

The investor learned about FX Prime Pro through a Facebook post.  All communication, specifically on trading and what trades to make on the platform, were made over WhatsApp. The investor transferred over $109,000 in Ether (ETH) and USD Coin (USDC) from their Coinbase account to the FX Prime Pro platform. The investor was led to believe that the cryptocurrency was being used to invest in precious metals.

The investor contacted the FX Prime Pro support department on numerous occasions to ask how to “exit” and each time was given a different answer. The investor’s funds still remain on the platform.

These allegations have not been verified by DFI.
