Living Into Our Mission: Consumer Refunds and Restitution

There is no better feeling for DFI staff then when funds are delivered back to consumers harmed by prohibited practices.

The employees in the Division of Consumer Services live into our mission of protecting consumers daily by tirelessly conducting examinations and investigations and facilitating the return of funds to consumers where necessary.

The Division is proud to report its consumer refund and restitution amounts for 2024. The examination unit required over $25,895 to be refunded to consumers. The enforcement unit required over $209,544 in consumer restitution.
