Washington businesses that offer tax refund anticipation loans must register with DFI
How to Register with DFI
Follow the instructions below to register with DFI.
- Obtain access code
Email RALS@dfi.wa.gov to request an access code. Provide the full name of the business and the primary email address. - Complete CSV file with location information
Complete the refund anticipation loan facilitator csv template with location information. (Important: DO NOT modify the template. This will result in your upload being rejected by the system). - Upload CSV File
Access the online registration system and follow the instructions to upload the csv file. An email confirmation will be received shortly after. Print the confirmation email. - Registration Fee
Write a check payable to the “Washington State Treasurer” for $35.00 per Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN).
Example: Your main office has a unique EFIN. Three of your branch office each have unique EFINs. Your website address has a unique EFIN. You have a total of five EFINs. Your registration fee is $35.00 x 5 = $175.00. - Payment
