The Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS) has launched a multi-year effort to modernize NMLS and deliver an improved user experience. Changes to NMLS will be incremental, happening in phases.
The first change visible to users is scheduled to launch in mid-April. The NMLS Resource Center, the landing page many use to log into NMLS, will undergo a platform upgrade. The look and design of the page will change, but the content, information structure, and existing links will not change.
Later this year, one of the first major enhancements to the actual NMLS system will launch. It includes an improved new user login experience. More information can be found in a recent blog post by CSBS, NMLS Enhancement: Making it Easier to Manage Usernames and Passwords.
