Look for a new version of the Mortgage Call Report (MCR) when you file your Q1 MCR. The new version, called Form Version 6 (FV6), was available as of April 1.
There are several changes in FV6, including the elimination of the standard/expanded forms in favor of a single form which uses the company’s business activities, as listed in NMLS, to drive the parts of the MCR to be completed.
To help licensees comply with MCR filing requirements, the Department issued two interim guidance documents about FV6.
- On February 6, the Department issued interim guidance providing licensees a 60-day grace period to file the Q1 MCR. The filing deadline for Q1 will be July 15 instead of May 15.
- On March 7, the Department issued interim guidance to Consumer Loan Act licensees who will be required to complete the State Specific Supplemental Form (SSSF) as part of the MCR filing.
Additional resources are available on the NMLS FV6 website, including XML file specifications, a sample of FV6, answers to common questions about FV6, and information on training provided.
