The Division of Consumer Services is strengthening its examination program by launching a specialty examination team that will focus exclusively on cybersecurity examinations.
This spring, the examinations unit hired a supervisor, Yuliya Pine, who supervises a team of three Financial Examiner IT Specialists. Yuliya came to the Department from a cybersecurity consulting and examination firm and has the applicable credentials to lead our state through this highly technical field.
The cybersecurity team is already conducting examinations and will be positioned within the examinations unit so that the team may work in any nonbank area as needed. The team will assess the cyber preparedness of nonbank entities using tools developed by the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS), in conjunction with state regulators.
