Working with Sovereign Indian Tribes

DFI works with sovereign Indian Tribes in a government-to-government relationship to create a foundation for collaboration and mutual respect. This includes working within dual government regulations, and shared priorities for financial education and economic development with the goal of addressing disparities, promoting equity, and protecting tribal sovereignty.

Tribal nations or individuals can reach out to DFI’s Tribal Liaison to:

• Share your story with us and help us understand what is important to you.
• Request a presentation, resources, or participation at an upcoming gathering.
• Connect about clarification tied to Washington State and U.S. rules when operating outside of Tribal lands or serving non-Indians.
