In order to use the online system, you will need to:
- Be a registered Secure Access Washington (SAW) user. Registration is simple; please visit https://secureaccess.wa.gov and follow the prompts to sign up, if you do not already have an account.
- In SAW you will then need to add the “Trust Company Quarterly Report” service to your account. To do this, click on “Add a New Service.”, then choose the Department of Financial Institutions on the right hand side of your screen. You will see “Access Now” on the right corner. Click this and it will take you to the online reporting system. If it is your using they system you will need to enter the certificate number of your Trust Company and the access code sent to you via email, and select continue.
- You will now be able to complete the form, which includes providing information on your customer fiduciary accounts and a company balance sheet and income statement. Please note that the call report itself has not changed in terms of content, the only change is that we are now using an online system for submission rather than a manual spreadsheet.
- After the completion of the income statement section, a full Trust Quarterly Report will be available for your review. Please review carefully for accuracy. If the red statement appears at the top, indicating Total Accounts should be equal to Total Assets held in Accounts, you may have a typo or a rounding error you need to rectify before proceeding. If the form looks complete and accurate, you may select the checkbox certifying under the law of the State of Washington that the trust quarterly report is true and correct. This action is replacing the Statement of Condition Declaration. You will now select the Complete button.
