At DFI, we are always striving to be more efficient. We often review our processes and activities for efficiency and effectiveness. Our goal is to be continuously improving. I’ll give you a few examples.
Preparing for Renewals
As we move through October, now is the time to get ready to renew your license. Starting November 1, virtually every licensee must take action to maintain licensure in 2019. The steps to renew or complete an annual attestation vary between license types.
Residential Mortgage Loan Servicing News
During the third quarter 2018, the residential mortgage loan servicing team conducted 21 examinations. Three exams were conducted on-site. The remainder were off-site. Overall, the trend is more “1” rated exams and less “2” rated exams than the previous quarter.
Federal S.A.F.E. Act Amendments for Certain MLOs
Congress passed legislation amending the federal S.A.F.E. Act, the federal licensing and registration requirement for mortgage loan originators (MLO).
