Governor Ferguson declared a statewide wildfire emergency and issued a statewide burn ban on August 1, 2026. The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (Department) recognizes the potential impact that the Eastern Washington wildfires will have on Washington consumers.
The Department has issued Guidance for Chartered and Licensed Entities Working with Customers Affected by the Wildfires.
