About

The Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI), Securities Division, has received a complaint from a Washington resident regarding a potential advanced fee scheme concerning a business opportunity.

The complainant communicated on WhatsApp with individuals who purportedly got the complainant’s contact information through a recruitment company. The individuals described a job opportunity for T-Kurve, a purported company described as “a leading global mobile application development service provider” that “provides professional support to various startups, brands, organizations and enterprises.”

The job opportunity was described as a data upload job. Individuals deposit funds to receive upload data. If you complete two sets of data, you can earn a profit.  Every time a data set is completed a new data set is required. New data sets require $100 in the individual’s account. There is also combination data that can purportedly provide 20 times the profit but requires more funds to be deposited. The complainant funded their account through Bitcoin transfers to wallet addresses provided by T-Kurve.

The complainant stated that at first T-Kurve appeared legitimate and offered small profits. However, the complainant states that T-Kurve began demanding more money to unlock larger earnings. The complainant lost approximately $4,200.
