Governor Gregoire has proclaimed April 2008 as Financial Literacy Month. To celebrate, the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) has developed this Webpage with information about the different activities happening around the state. View the Proclamation (PDF)

DFI has created an online calendar of financial literacy events, activities, workshops, and classes happening throughout Washington State.

College Financial Literacy Events

DFI, Bellevue Community College, and the Washington Society of CPA's are teaming up to help coordinate financial literacy events on college campuses.

 

Money Talks Blog

DFI recently launched its "Money Talks" blog. "Money Talks" is updated frequently and includes the latest financial literacy news, events, and more.

National Teach Children To Save Day - April 29, 2008

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 is National Teach Children To Save Day. Bankers across Washington State will make presentations to children about the importance of saving.
