  • Financial Literacy Public Private Partnership (FLPPP)
    The Financial Literacy Public Private Partnership (FLPPP) Committee was formed when the 2004 Washington State Legislature enacted SHB 2455. The Committee brings together individuals from both the public and private sector.

  • Jump$tart Washington
    Jump$tart Washington is a nonprofit coalition created to promote the need for financial education in Washington State. In 2007, we provided teacher training seminars, special events for students and succeeded in reaching thousands of consumers throughout the state.

  • United Way of Washington
    United Way of America is the national organization dedicated to leading the United Way movement. Local United Ways across Washington are helping promote financial stability and independence.

  • Washington Asset Building Coalition
    The Washington Asset Building Coalition (WABC) came together in October, 2006 to expand asset building across the state. Over 50 organizations are involved and helped gain $2.8 million from the Legislature for 2007-09.

  • Washington Financial Literacy Work Group
    The Washington Financial Literacy Work Group was created in Governor-sponsored legislation to assess financial literacy in Washington State. This group is tasked with addressing the issues presented in Senate Bill 6272 Chapter 3, Laws of 2008, supported and signed by Governor Chris Gregoire on February 11, 2008.

  • YWCA Northwest Regional Council
    Many YWCA organizations offer financial education and counseling as part of their services.

  • National Foundation for Credit Counseling
    The NFCC promotes the national agenda for responsible behavior and builds capacity for its members to deliver the highest quality financial education and counseling services.

  • Native Financial Education Coalition (NFEC)
    The NFEC brings together local, regional and national organizations and governments to promote financial education in Native communities. By working collaboratively, NFEC members seek to increase awareness about the need for financial education in Native communities through outreach, policy and research. They look for ways to build the financial education capacity of Native governments and organizations by offering instructor training and information about national financial education resources. Working with financial institutions, NFEC helps to provide financial literacy training to tribes throughout the nation.

    The U.S. Financial Literacy and Education Commission is responsible for distributing financial education resources to all Americans. The Commission is made up of a number of Government agencies.
