Washington Teachers Sought to Serve on Financial Education Standards Crosswalk Committee

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) in partnership with the Financial Education Public-Private Partnership (FEPPP) is accepting applications from K-12 educators to serve on the Financial Education Standards Crosswalk Committee.

OSPI is recruiting teachers with experience in personal finance, social studies, math, ELA, Special Education and/or CTE. Participants will review and use newly adopted (September 27, 2016) Washington State Financial Education Learning Standards to crosswalk/align with existing Washington state standards.

This work is intended to identify materials that integrate financial education standards into K-12 classrooms. This will be a two-day meeting held in the Seattle area on February 15 and 16, 2017. All expenses will be included. Clock hours will be provided.

This online application will remain open until 4 p.m. on January 4, 2017. Selected participants will be contacted by email no later than Monday, January 9, 2017.
