Amending A Loan Originator License Via The NMLS
Transferring License to New Mortgage Broker Company
- In the NMLS, Loan Originator submits a Terminate Sponsorship Request for current Mortgage Broker Company. Loan Originator may also remove Company Access as well.
- Loan Originator updates “Work History” section of Form MU4 to reflect employment ending with current Mortgage Broker Company and employment beginning with new Mortgage Broker Company.
- Loan Originator grants the new employer Company Access to his/her Form MU4.
- In the NMLS, the new Mortgage Broker Company submits a Sponsorship Request for Loan Originator’s license.
Establishing An Additional Relationship with Another Mortgage Broker Company
- In the NMLS, Loan Originator updates “Work History” section of Form MU4 to reflect employment beginning with new Mortgage Broker Company.
- Loan Originator grants the new employer Company Access to his/her Form MU4.
- In the NMLS, the new Mortgage Broker Company submits a Sponsorship Request for Loan Originator’s license.
- Either the new Mortgage Broker Company or the Loan Originator mails a check, made payable to the Washington State Treasurer, in the amount of $75 to cover the cost of having the additional association.
