New Application Forms

About The New Forms

The Consumer Services Division of DFI is creating new forms for the Escrow, Check Casher Seller, and Money Services programs.

These new forms will create uniformity between these programs as well as the Mortgage Broker and Consumer Loan programs. The formats will be similar to one another in the order in which basic company information is requested.

As part of our ongoing effort to improve our licensing processes, these new forms will allow licensing staff to process applications more efficiently as they move between license types. It is also part of a rebuild of DFI’s internal licensing database system.

The new forms and internal database rebuild are initial steps necessary to prepare for an automated online licensing system. Right now, Escrow Officers are able to submit license renewals online, reducing the amount of staff time needed to process these renewals.

Our long-term goal is to have an automated system that allows applicants for both Escrow Agent and Escrow Officer licenses to apply for their initial license online. License applications would still be reviewed by staff before issuance, but the automated system will reduce the amount of paperwork an applicant must submit.

What's This Mean For Escrow?

For Escrow, this means that right now the majority of the forms our licensees use for licensing will be changing. It is our goal to have the new forms available on our website by the end of May 2008.

Check our website for form updates over the next few months. During this transition period (May-June) we will continue to accept applications submitted using the old forms.
