All licensed mortgage brokers must fulfill continuing education requirements each year.

Mortgage Broker Continuing Education Requirements
- Designated brokers must successfully complete three approved continuing education courses (PDF)* each year. See WAC 208-660-270 for details.
- Designated brokers may receive credit for one course by attending three mortgage broker commission meetings.
- During a mortgage broker's first year of acting as a designated broker one course must cover ethics.
- If you are a mortgage broker and teach a continuing education course, please see WAC 208-660-270(4).
Note: Please include a copy of your continuing education certificate when paying your annual assessment to the Department (“DFI”).
Approved Continuing Education Providers & Courses
Quarterly Reports for Continuing Education Providers
Beginning January 15, 2008 continuing education providers and professional organizations will have to provide a roster of who took their continuing education courses.
The first quarterly report for 2008 will have to capture continuing education course takers who are using classes to complete their 2007 requirements. Some of these courses may have been taken in 2006 by designated mortgage brokers.
For 2008 the quarterly reports are due to DFI on January 15, April 1, July 1 and October 1.
