NMLS for Payday Lender & Check Casher/Seller Licenses

Effective July 30, 2012, Washington is introducing NMLS as a new way to maintain your Check Casher or Check Casher with Small Loan Endorsement license.

Licensees who hold a Check Casher/Small Loan Endorsement License must have an approved transition in NMLS prior to July 1, 2014. The remaining companies who hold just the Check Casher license must have an approved transition in NMLS by December 31, 2014. NMLS has many benefits including streamlining the application process as well as the maintenance of your company’s license by providing a central location for company information and reducing the items you must mail to DFI.
