Money Savvy Kids & Money Savvy U

As part of its outreach, DFI is partnering with the Money Savvy Generation to offer free financial literacy curriculum materials to classrooms across the state of Washington.


Money Savvy Kids - 2nd and/or 3rd Grade Classrooms

DFI is offering the award-winning Money Savvy Kids Basic Personal Finance Curriculum to second and third grade classrooms across Washington. This program meets math and social studies standards for each grade level.

Money Savvy U - Sixth, Seventh, and/or Eighth Grade Classrooms

DFI is offering the Money Savvy U Intermediate Personal Finance Curriculum materials to sixth, seventh and eighth grade classrooms across Washington.

Previous Money Savvy Programs

During the 2004-2005 school year DFI piloted the Money Savvy program in 50 second grade classrooms across the state. Learn more about the 2004-2005 pilot project.

Based on positive teacher, student and parent response, that program was expanded to 70 second and third grade classrooms across the state for 2006-2007 school year.

For the 2007-2008 school year, DFI began offering the Money Savvy U Intermediate Personal Finance Curriculum to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classrooms.
