The Washington Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) has received complaints from Washington consumers who allege an individual contacted them by telephone and identified himself as a representative from Accreditation Consideration Services a/k/a ACS.

It is further alleged that the representative of this company told the consumers he was attempting to collect a debt and insisted that a payment be made using an electronic funds transfer or debit card. Additionally, the consumers were threatened with arrested or other legal action if they did not repay the debt. The company did not provide any documentation regarding the debt to consumers.

Accreditation Consideration Services a/k/a ACS has been associated with a telephone number of 310-999-9442 and 813-708-1726.

The company is not licensed by the Washington State of Department of Financial Institutions as a payday lender or by the Washington State Department of Licensing as a collections agent.

DFI
